Can you explain Catabolic and Anabolic energy?
Catabolic and Anabolic energy
Energy can be thought of as two types: anabolic and catabolic.
Catabolic energy is draining, resisting, destructive energy—think about the word cannibal. This type of energy releases catabolic hormones, such as cortisol and adrenaline that actually eat away at our very cells.
That is actually a natural process that creates short-term energy for us, but that energy comes from within us: muscle, tissue, anything. Long term catabolic energy, which you can think of as stress, eats away at our happiness, health, wisdom, and even wealth.
Anabolic energy, on the other hand, is constructive, building, healing energy. This type of energy releases anabolic hormones, such as testosterone, endorphins, and dopamine into the body. All of these hormones benefit the body and bring about feelings of well being.
