Course Requirements

Readings and activities will be assigned before the first session and in between subsequent sessions. Please review your syllabus for the schedule and full list of requirements.

Participants are expected to complete all assignments prior to each session and be prepared to actively engage in discussions and small group projects. Please be prepared to keep your camera on throughout each class session.

Certification is dependent upon attendance, mastery of any coursework, and completion of the Final Capstone Project and associated coaching sessions.

To earn your CEDC certification, you are expected to attend all 10 live class sessions in their entirety.

Attendance is considered mandatory for all class sessions; however, if students encounter an emergency and cannot attend one class session, they may attend a group makeup session.

This means that you are expected to attend all live class sessions as scheduled, but if there is an emergency or illness, there is a “grace period” for one session only without losing the ability to earn your CEDC certification, provided you attend the group tutoring/makeup session and also complete any workbook/homework assignments missed.

If a student misses part of a class session (like leaving class early or coming in late), this still counts as their “missed time grace period,” and they will need to attend the group tutoring makeup session.

The group tutoring makeup session is only available for one class or one partial class absence. If students miss more than one class/partial class session, instead of receiving their CEDC certification, they will receive a letter of partial completion specifying the number of training hours they completed.

If you need to use the group tutoring makeup session, you must notify the Lead Trainer and Student Support as soon as possible to receive the details of the makeup session.

The group tutoring makeup session is only available for one class or one partial class absence. If students miss more than one class/ partial class session, instead of receiving their CEDC certification, they will receive a letter of partial completion specifying the number of training hours they actually completed.
