How do I know what to do during my first peer coaching session?
Peer coaching tips
Your initial peer coaching sessions may feel like a stretch, only because you are possibly learning a new skill along with getting to know a new client. Feeling out of your comfort zone is perfectly normal when trying something new! These sessions are a great time to concentrate on the basics of refining your T-GOAL model learned in Module I (and also explained in your Part 1 manual). Also, exploring open ended questions and practicing acknowledgement and validation is a great place to start. For more tips, including the T-GOAL model, you can download Peer Coaching Tips on the Hub from the Peer Coaching tabs in the Coaching section at the bottom of your Coach Training Program page.
