"I just finished Mod I and am super excited but don't know what to do next! HELP!" Sound familiar? We've got you covered.
Steps to take after Mod I
First, log into your post Module I dashboard. Scroll down to Section 08 (Continue Your Coursework) and go to the ON DEMAND CLASSES tab to find the recorded classes to view. These are an introduction to iPEC and the program, so they are a good place to start. Make sure to view all of them and fill out the corresponding evaluation to each class (found right under the recording) to receive credit.
- Next, take a look at the other assignments in the Section 08 "Coursework" section. There you'll find the LIFE REVIEW and INTENTION SETTING workbooks. You will want to complete your Life Review if you haven’t already. Next in line would be the Intentions Setting workbook. (You don’t necessarily need to do all assignments in the order that they appear in your Hub. Refer to your syllabus for more information). In this section, you'll also see the Energy Leadership BOOK REPORT. Once you read the book, write a 3–6-page book report (prompts are provided). You may compose the book report in the format of your choosing and upload the assignment, but please note, we are not able to download files with the .pages extension! Please pay careful attention to the instructions to download and work on the workbooks and assignments! There are short videos as well as written instructions to help you and keep you from losing your work. These assignments are not due before Mod II. The only assignment due by Mod II is the Gremlin Project… read on.
- Download the GREMLIN PROJECT worksheet. This worksheet is for your own exploration and does not need to be uploaded. It will help you clarify your gremlin's message. Once you understand your gremlin’s message to you, create your Gremlin Project. The project should represent your gremlin's message and can be anything you can think of—a sculpture, collage, found object, etc. Be creative! Bring your project to Day 1 of Mod II.
- Be sure to check out the Weekly Webinars tab. Be sure to DOWNLOAD YOUR WEBINAR SCHEDULE there. That will provide you with dates and topics for each webinar. Note that there are some weeks when there will be no webinars. Consult your schedule to see what and when weekday webinars will be released. Webinar recording access links are located inside the webinar tab. You’ll find supplemental materials for each webinar in the drop-down menu at the bottom of the webinar tab: WEBINAR RESOURCES, RECORDINGS AND EVALUATIONS. Click on any webinar there to find the materials or evaluation you are interested in.
- Take a look at the top of your webinar page to review how many webinars you are required to view. Once you attend the webinar, take the evaluation and survey to receive credit (also found in the drop-down menu).
- Now go to the COACHING section. Click on PEER to see information about your peer coach and client. As soon as they are assigned (about two weeks after Module I and a little later after Module II for your second round), you will receive an email with their contact information, which will also populate in your Hub. In the meantime, download the Tips on Peer Coaching. Once you complete a peer session, log that session at the bottom of the page. We suggest meeting once a week with both your peer client and coach, with a loose goal to finish your peer coaching sessions 2–3 weeks after Mod II. (Please note, if you plan to use your peer client’s contact information at a later date to apply for an ICF credential, you need to obtain permission to share their contact information with the ICF. Please see here for more details.)
- Next, go to the PEER GROUP tab to find Peer Group information and download a list of topics. You will be contacted by your group leader (unless you are assigned as your group leader) to coordinate your meetings. Again, we suggest a pace of meeting once a week, with a loose goal of finishing your peer group sessions 2–3 weeks after Mod II. If your group is nearing Module II and some of the group members have attended the training and some haven’t, you may want to pause meeting as a group until you have all been through the training as to not “spoil the magic”. Log your peer group sessions in the provided log. If you are assigned as the group leader, there are instructions on the GROUP page on how to proceed.
- Now go to the MENTOR COACHING tab. You'll meet with your mentor for six thirty-minute sessions. The purpose of these sessions is for your mentor to give you feedback on your coaching. Once you meet with your peer client twice, you may schedule a session with your mentor. Please note that mentor sessions must be at least four weeks apart so you can incorporate your mentor's feedback into your coaching by the time you meet with your mentor again. Don't forget to log your sessions in the provided log.
- Now, click on the INTERVIEWS tab to learn about the 10 Coaching Interviews (Complimentary Sessions) you will conduct with 10 people outside the program. There is a great recording on the page that gives you an idea of what a Complimentary Session is. There is also a script you may use under RESOURCES at the top of the page. Go to RESOURCES > COACHING TOOLS & RESOURCES > COACHING TOOLS > GETTING STARTED. You can start on those interviews right away or wait until you have done some coaching. You'll see the log to get credit for these sessions. (Please note, if you plan to use your peer client’s contact information at a later date to apply for an ICF credential, you need to obtain permission to share their contact information with the ICF. Please see here for more details.)
- Next, scroll up to the ADDITIONAL TRAINING section where you will find information about the SUCCESS COACH PROGRAM. This is an optional program for you to be coached by an iPEC coach for three thirty-minute sessions around your vision of success (or any other topic you choose). You'll see on the page you should schedule the first session before Mod II, the second session between Mod II and Mod III, and the third session within 10 weeks of completing Mod III. Your Success Coach will email you with directions on how to book a session. There are a few assignments on the SUCCESS page to complete before you meet with the Success Coach: a webinar to watch and a Google form to complete. This is an optional program so no need to log your sessions.
- Lastly, congratulate yourself. You are working hard and YOU ARE DOING THIS!
