What is the difference between sharing intuition and leading a client?
Sharing intuition vs leading a client
Whenever you share an intuition, always ask if it resonates with the client, in order to avoid leading. If you think you “got an intuitive hit” and you want to share it with your client, consider your motivation for doing so. Do you want to solve the client’s problem or show how great your coaching is? If so, it’s likely leading. When you’re tapped in intuitively, you don’t analyze or let the rational, personal side of you come out. Consider whether sharing will serve the client’s agenda. If it doesn’t, it’s likely leading.
