Where do I find my device’s specifications to make sure I am prepared technology wise for my training?

Tips for finding your device's specifications

Where To Find Your Device’s Specifications:

Windows Devices:

  1. Press the windows icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
    1. Open the settings menu.
      1. Open the system menu. 
      2. At the bottom left, press the ‘about’ tab. 
      3. There you will see your processor, your RAM, and your operating system(OS).

Macs:

  1. At the top left of the screen click on the apple button.
    1. Next click on the ‘About This Mac’.
      1. There you will see your processor, your RAM (memory), and your operating system (OS).
    2. Next press the storage tab to view how much space you have available.

iPads:

  1. Open the settings app.
    1. Press on the general tab.
    2. Press on ‘iPad’ Storage to view how much space you have available.

      1. You can find your model number in the “general” tab, in “about”.

Tablets:

  1. Windows Surface tablets and other devices that use Windows, follow the same process as ‘Windows Devices’ above.
  2. For Google Devices, such as Chromebooks, open up Google Chrome and type in “chrome://system” at the top.
  3. For Android Tablets, go to ‘Settings’, followed by ‘About Tablet’, to learn more information about your device.
    1. You can also download the app CPU-Z to get a more detailed description of your Android Device.

Software:
